It's been a while...

Great weekend!  Friday night, I went out for Hibachi with Jarrod and a few of his friends as we said goodbye.  He joined the Air Force and is heading down to Texas tomorrow.  It was hard to say goodbye but I am happy for him.  This is something that he has wanted for a very long time.  Saturday night was Fondue Night at my friend Laura's house.  There were about 7 of us from work that all went to her house for fondue.  We had a really good time together too.  Rebecca and I slept there, too, which was kinda fun.  I can't remember the last time I was at a sleepover! :)  Today was also a good day.  Spent some time with a friend and got a lot of work done.  Good and good!

I feel like there is a lot to say but I don't quite know what to say!  I hate this feeling.  Life is good though.  Confusing at times but still good.  I cannot complain!

Another week ahead...Annual Reviews are this week.  I am looking forward to having that over and done with.  I cannot believe that it is this time of the year already though!  Time has been flying!

Well, it is the weekend.  For some reason, all weekend long, I have felt like it was almost over.  That is the worst!  Oh well.

Last night, for St. Patrick's Day, I went out with the work crew.  We had SUCH a good time!  We had too many green drinks and our Happy "Hour" ended up lasting 6 hours.  A sure sign of a good time, I guess, right?!  We went to the usual place.  Good times!

Today, I cleaned my whole apartment...top to bottom.  I needed to do that so badly.  I was glad to actually have the time to do so.  I also got some of my Annual Reviews written.  For some reason, this year, I am SO not feeling writing them.  Usually, this really isn't a big deal for me and I just do it.  This year, I keep finding myself doing anything and everything except for working on them. (Perfect example right here...I am writing on my xanga rather than typing my reports!  Beautiful!)

I'm in a bad mood tonight so I'm not sure that I am going to do much of anything.  I may head over to the mall...I am trying to think of a gift to give to someone who I have a LOT of history with...someone who I have loved for the past 9 years of my life...someone whom I will probably always love just because...he is leaving next Tuesday for the Airforce and I don't know if or when I will see him again.  I want to think of something special, meaningful, and something that will be enough but not too much.  He is special to me.  I want to find something special for him.  Something that he will remember me by...hmm....

Today was one of those days that make my entire school year feel like it was worth my while!  I tested my kids today (in preparation for their Annual Reviews coming up) and found that everyone had increased their Math scores by 2 grade levels!!  I was floored!  That rarely happens, especially in Special Education!  I was SOOO proud of them! I went on and on and couldn't stop expressing my delight in all of their accomplishments this school year!  That made me feel so good.

At lunch, the cafeteria monitor told me that she had nominated me for the Governor's Teacher of the Year award. While I did not win it, it still meant so much to me that she took the time to write an essay as to why she thought I was deserving of the award and I was touched that she told me about it too.

All in all, it has been a great day! :)  These are the reasons that I do what I do, day in and day out.

Great quote I found:

Do not make anyone your priority while allowing yourself to be their option! :)

Really, this should be a Saturday entry...:)

I had a great day today.  Again, the weather was gorgeous and I was back in NYC.  This time I was there with the boy.  We had a great time.  Sat and chatted in the sun for a while at South Street Seaport, walked around the shops a little bit, and then had a meal at RED.  After we ate, we walked back through Soho.  Great time, great weather, great company, great conversation, great day! :)  Can't get enough of days like that!

I saw Failure to Launch with mom and my aunt tonight.  It was SO cute!  Loved it and would totally recommend it to anyone and everyone!  Adorable!  We did coffee and desert afterwards...it was very enjoyable.

Again, one last time, GREAT DAY! :)  I love weekends!

Today was BEAUTIFUL!!! 78 degrees!! I was SO happy all day long.  Seriously, I could not stop smiling or talking about how much I love warm weather!  Tomorrow is supposed to be more of the same so I think my mood will be too high to handle! :)  I took my "writing day" at work today (half day designated for SPED teachers to write their annual reviews) and went into the city and went shopping with Mom instead!  We had an enjoyable day together.

I am thankful that it is the weekend and I am looking forward to having some time to relax.  On a totally different note...I got a ton of work done tonight.  Preparing all of the paper work and the reports that are necessary for the annual reviews takes a lot of time. I strapped down this evening and actually got a fair amount completed.  I am feeling good about it! :)

So tired...feeling so old! :)  Good night!
